Booking on Airbnb – Essential Tips

1. Before Booking ➡️Check the type of accommodation: a private room (cheaper, but you will not have the entire property to yourself) or an entire place (more expensive, but offers more privacy). ➡️ Choose Superhosts whenever possible for greater reliability. ➡️ Carefully read the house rules and the amenities included — anything listed there cannot be charged as an extra fee. ➡️ Check the cancellation policy (Flexible to Firm) at the bottom of the listing. ➡️ Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true, listings with no reviews, or suspicious-looking photos.

2. Security Deposits & Payments ➡️ Airbnb does not allow security deposits to be collected outside the platform: never make payments outside Airbnb. ➡️ In the event of a dispute or property damage, use the Airbnb Resolution Center.

3. Contacting the Host ➡️ As soon as you book, introduce your stay: provide your dates, preferred check-in and check-out times, number of guests, whether children or pets will be accompanying you, and the purpose of your visit.

4. Upon Arrival ➡️ Inspect the entire property and take photos of anything that appears damaged, missing, or not as described. ➡️ Check that towels, bedding, and advertised amenities are provided.

5. During Your Stay ➡️The host may not enter the property without your permission. ➡️No smoking (including vaping) if the property is designated as non-smoking. ➡️After 10:00 PM, keep noise to a minimum.

6. Upon Departure ➡️ Take photos showing the condition of the property when you leave. ➡️Ask the host about the expected level of cleaning, how to return the keys, and the exact check-out time. ➡️Take a photo when dropping off or returning the keys.
