Episode 10 - Hope

Paris, 1934:

🐭 Together with her husband, and above all thanks to the incredible help of her courageous mice, Irene discovered a phenomenon that would transform the fight against the underground evil that had threatened humanity for decades.

The blue matter, that famous Curie Frequency, acted as a counterbalance to the rest of the signal. The more this substance was used, the less the cursed rumbling manifested itself.

Although not everything was yet known about the Curie Frequency, it was now clear that it could control the threat!

💜 With immense pride and profound relief, Marie witnessed this discovery. At that very moment, her thoughts turned to Gustave Eiffel, who had passed away a few years earlier. As if he were standing beside her, she whispered through tears:

"We did it, Gustave. There is hope."

She then felt free to let her body rest and take her leave in turn.

Humanity was in good hands. The Curie legacy had been passed on.

A few weeks later, on 4 July 1934, her body finally succumbed to illness.

In accordance with her final wishes, she was buried beside her husband without speeches or ceremony.

San Francisco, December 2014:

😦 Hank sat down in front of his screen and entered his secret code:

"276556"

He hesitated for a brief moment before speaking:

"ADA? Would you mind if we talked about what happened with Klue?"

Several minutes passed in silence. He added:

"I'm sorry. I had no choice but to send Loeb. You couldn't continue to..."

ADA interrupted him angrily:

"You have no idea what it's like! Being trapped and unable to do anything! That merger with Klue was an opportunity for me."

Hank tried to calm her:

"But I need you and your knowledge here, ADA! Besides, that's what you've wanted from the very beginning..."

He continued in a whisper:

"...even before you became ADA."
