🔥 In 1945, under pressure from scientists, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) was established. Officially, the CEA was dedicated to fundamental research. Unofficially, the Curie frequency was being studied there.
🧪 From that year onwards, Irène and her colleagues experimented with uses for the blue matter. It was a powerful source of energy with many properties. But the more discoveries were made, the more the team of scientists was pushed in an increasingly specific direction.
👁 Irène could no longer ignore her intuition. They were being used; something was being prepared without their knowledge, and she was determined to find out what it was. With the help of her husband, she allowed her mice to enter and search offices that had become off-limits.
🐭 The little blue ninjas returned with documents. Irène hurriedly went through them. Then her gaze froze and her blood ran cold: plans for weapons of war. How could the CEA do this to them? It was unthinkable to Irène that her work, and especially her mother's, should be used for such a purpose.
🔘 It was obvious to her: she would wage an internal struggle.

👀 It is rather quiet in the agency's offices. The intern takes the opportunity to question Hank: “Sir, I caught sight of a few notes about tomorrow's Ingress Report scripts. What's a SITREP?”
🙄 Hank rolled his eyes. This intern had a real talent for poking his nose into things. Still, he liked him, and SITREPs were among the most interesting subjects. He agreed to answer: “It is a way of gathering information about how agents interact with XM. 💜 He continued: “In a SITREP, we also encourage agents to share their stories from these operations. But that part is mainly for motivation. It reminds us why we do all this. If you read those reports, you'll sense a profound community spirit and a deeply rooted sense of unity.”
