Paris, a city of learning 🔬

Among the illustrious figures who have walked this Earth, Paris 🗼 had the honour of seeing its cobblestones trodden by Marie Skłodowska-Curie. Polish 🇵🇱 by birth, Marie came to bring glory to France through her curiosity, determination and knowledge. At a time when science was a man’s world, Marie was a pioneer in several fields 🥇: the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first woman to win two, and the first woman to be awarded the Davy Medal. She was also the first woman to be honoured by her homeland 🇫🇷 and thus to be laid to rest in the Panthéon.

« In life, there is nothing to fear, everything is to be understood. » — Marie Curie
